Dr. Abbey Hardy is a graduate of the University of South Alabama PA Program. She completed her Doctor of Medical Science degree with a concentration in PA education at the University of Lynchburg in 2024. Dr. Hardy has 15 years of clinical experience and primarily serves as a PA educator and academic leader. She currently serves as Program Director of the Sullivan University PA Program in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Hardy brings a strong foundation in PA education and has been teaching since 2017. She has served in the role of Program Director since 2021. Her professional interests include curricular alignment, advancing teaching approaches to meet the needs of today’s learners, and modeling effective leadership. She is committed to fostering learning environments that emphasize professionalism, adaptability, and accountability.
In addition to her academic role, Dr. Hardy maintains active clinical practice in emergency medicine. This continued clinical engagement informs her teaching and allows her to integrate practical application, complex clinical decision making, and current standards of care into both PA and doctoral education.
Dr. Hardy is passionate about advancing the PA profession through education, leadership, and advocacy. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants and participates on the government affairs and continuing medical education committees. Her work focuses on advancing PA practice and supporting the continued growth and impact of doctoral trained PAs.
