Stacie Gopal, DMS, MPAS, PA-C, CHC

Adjunct Faculty

Dr. Stacie Gopal brings more than 20 years of combined clinical and teaching experience. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has held clinical positions in physical medicine & rehabilitation, cardiology and urology. She became a guest lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh, which is where she first fell in love with teaching PA students. In 2015 she joined Nova Southeastern University and currently works there as an adjunct faculty member in the PA program. She serves as the Course Director for Clinical Laboratory Medicine I & II and actively engages in student mentorship in various aspects throughout the program. She went on to earn a Doctor of Medical Science degree with a concentration in Physician Assistant education from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She believes the most important aspect of teaching is to encourage students to engage in critical thinking with a lifelong curiosity for the pursuit of knowledge in the ever-changing field of medicine.

Dr. Gopal is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of both the American Academy of Physician Associates and Physician Assistant Education Association. Dr. Gopal holds a strong conviction in the power of preventive medicine which inspired her to earn certifications in health and wellness coaching for seniors, adults, and children.

She has a passion for the written word and is in the process of publishing her book Embracing BRCA, which is a supportive handbook and reflection journal for women with a genetic predisposition to cancer. She also serves as an article reviewer for the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, three children, and two quirky rescue pups.
